The Good Ship...return to Kilburn of The Smyths and Digital, plus pop quiz etc

Ooh, shiver me timbers and other such maritime nonsense.

Right, firstly if it is your birthday or you want to hire our balcony area for any other reason we can offer it at the weekends absolutely FREE. Not only that but we also do a big discount on all sparkling wines and champagnes and guarantee that all your party have free entry to the club. So please email or call me if you would like to set something up. As much notice as possible always helps.

Now, big fanfare, starting in October we are going to try and have live music every Thursday starting with the magnificent Smyths (www.thesmyths.net) on the 6th. If you haven't seen them yet then you really should. The following Thursday to celebrate John Peel day we will have the Joy Division (with a smattering of New Order) tribute Digital (www.digital-jdno.co.uk). They were ace at All Manna so get along to that too if you can. Tickets for both will be a fiver and they will be available in advance as we have a limit on bands nights of 150 people.

Also music fans let me announce the start of our monthly pop quiz "Don't know much about history" on the 25th October. Simon and Luke will be popping (popping!) the questions and mucho prizes, fun and chin scratching is promised.

Fourthly, we will have free wine tasting sessions plus a half price wine night as we change over stock so if any wine drinkers out there want a free or cheap wine session then please let me know.

Lastly, our bunch of DJs will be playing on Fridays and Saturdays with the first Sunday of the month too. The list is below...

The Good Ship, free entry throughout September.

Dear all, thanks to the people who have been down to the new bar. It has been horribly hectic but a lot of fun. Just to let you know that we are planning to open up our bands night with The Smyths on Thursday 6th October and then probably go every or most Thursdays thereafter. I just need to get the nod from my sound princesses and the man who will fit our new PA.
If you are in a band and haven't already got in touch about a gig then please do. In the meantime we have an All Manna DJ night next Friday, same as All Manna except without any bands basically plus a whole range of DJs playing good stuff over the coming Fridays and Saturdays, please have a look at the list below and do check them out. We are open til 1 during the week and 2 at weekends and for the month of September we have no entry charge whatsoever.
The emphasis is on the music so there is a great jukebox with CDs from The Smiths, KaitO, Sly and The Family Stone, Velvet Underground etc, a monthly pop quiz coming very soon and of course bands and DJs. We will also show all major sporting events on a soon to be installed huge screen but once the game is over the music is coming on. Quality beers on tap including London Pride, Hoegaarden, Stella, Carlsberg and Labatts, plus 16 wines and cocktail menu coming by this weekend.
