Halston, Gucci, Fiorucci

You know what kids, I have been so chocka that I didn't have time to tell you about the gig on Wednesday or Thursday's acoustic session both of which were great. But fear not as for music lovers we have live music this Friday, Saturday and Sunday and on Sunday we have the excellent fashion fair for local designers. I tell you what, we don't sell much drink that day but it is a delight for me to see people walking out with a big smile that says I am happy with my new frock/shoes/bag.

So Friday...
Sula is a lovely young thing with a piano and songs that belie her tender years. She is also the song on our myspace page at the mo. www.myspace.com/sulamaemusic
Next up are Lucas who don't have a Myspace; they are a bit Muse like but not as annoying.
Then we welcome back The Bessingbys who are a bunch of cheeky chappies with an indie/ska sound. Ian Dury would approve. www.myspace.com/thebessingbys
The headliners are The Routines, a ballsy, lively indie lot who'll get you moving. www.myspace.com/theroutines

Saturday. Well blow me backwards, its our first birthday and to celebrate we are doing nothing unusual but instead putting on 4 great bands and then DJs til 4 after as usual. Next year we will go mental, ideas on a postcard please...
It really is a fine array of bands that we have. We start with...
My Stupid Hair who play a lively ska set. Just have a listen and I dare your foot not to tap. Great lyrics too. www.myspace.com/mystupidhair
Next up are The Vigours who make a punky/indie racket.www.myspace.com/thevigours
W.I.T. like Weezer and anyone who doesn't like that Buddy Holly song is dead so there... www.myspace.com/witband
Our headliners are the outstanding Morton Valence. Frankly they are a step above. The most interesting and intriguing band on these shores according to The Metro. www.myspace.com/mortonvalence

Sunday is fashion day in conjunction with the fashion site www.whatsmineisyours.com. From 1 til 630ish we will have new designers, vintage clothes, loads of bargains. There will be more stalls than ever so come along, fill yer boots, buy some boots!

Over and out.

PS I apologise for "Go with the Flow" last week. That was not good enough and I have let you all down. I hope you like this week's better. You are more likely to hear Maurice play it (though he won't) on Saturday than you are to find Halston Gucci Fiorucci on Sunday but you see what I've done eh????

all aboard...
