The Good Ship, free entry throughout September.

Dear all, thanks to the people who have been down to the new bar. It has been horribly hectic but a lot of fun. Just to let you know that we are planning to open up our bands night with The Smyths on Thursday 6th October and then probably go every or most Thursdays thereafter. I just need to get the nod from my sound princesses and the man who will fit our new PA.
If you are in a band and haven't already got in touch about a gig then please do. In the meantime we have an All Manna DJ night next Friday, same as All Manna except without any bands basically plus a whole range of DJs playing good stuff over the coming Fridays and Saturdays, please have a look at the list below and do check them out. We are open til 1 during the week and 2 at weekends and for the month of September we have no entry charge whatsoever.
The emphasis is on the music so there is a great jukebox with CDs from The Smiths, KaitO, Sly and The Family Stone, Velvet Underground etc, a monthly pop quiz coming very soon and of course bands and DJs. We will also show all major sporting events on a soon to be installed huge screen but once the game is over the music is coming on. Quality beers on tap including London Pride, Hoegaarden, Stella, Carlsberg and Labatts, plus 16 wines and cocktail menu coming by this weekend.
DJ Menu for September...
Friday 16th: Stuart will be playing Motown, 60s psychedelia, NYC Punk, vintage rock, blues, folk, classic indie and so much more.
Saturday 17th: Moose plays the best in chirpy/funky indie from the 80s to now with a smattering of the jolliest hip hop and house classics.
Friday 23rd: John will be playing Inner City, Maximo Park, PJ Harvey and Burning Spear.
Saturday 24th: Maurice will play an ecletic selection of uplifting sounds from Northern Soul, Tamla, Stax, Philly, Trojan, 2 Tone and a smattering of new and old punk and new wave.
Friday 30th: TBC
Saturday 1st September (and every first Saturday of the month) Soul night. Your hosts, Thee Captain’s of Suave invite you to dance the night away to their carefully chosen spread of fine soul gems and the like from their extensive larder of quality produce.
cheers
