another FREE comedy night and er not much else actually...

It's a quietish week at The Ship (notice my subtle shortening there eh???) events wise but before I launch into this week a penultimate reminder that you can reserve tickets for The Smyths gig on Saturday August 5th for just £5 by emailing or calling me. It will sell out and it will also be more expensive for non reserved tickets so you know what to do. We are also reserving tickets for Guardian single of the weekers Lucky Soul + 3 supports on Saturday 12th August.

Also, we are going to be abandoning our weekly house night and having bands on Friday nights in future too. Generally funk, electronic, soul, beats etc with more indie/punk bands on a Saturday. So if you know of any bands that you would like to see let me know.

If anyone has a forthcoming birthday and they want to hire either a Friday or a Saturday (or a week day) then please let me know. We'll almost certainly offer it for free unlike most rip off joints.

Right this week....
Monday...absolutely nothing
Tuesday...absolutely nothing
Wednesday 26th July FREE Comedy
An evening with Mark Allen's Quite Good Britain plus The Comedy Bucket. Doors from 730. Acts start at 830. This show will only be shown in Edinburgh, London's West End and Kilburn. Super eh?? There is a preview here on Mark's show.
http://www.commitnonuisance.com/comedy/QGB.html and it will be the finale after an hour from the Comedy Bucket featuring Alan Stick, Arnab Chanda, Dave Nicholls, Matthew Crosby and Joe Wilkinson. Credits: winners and finalists of Hackney Empire, BBC, Jongleurs, Channel 5's SYTYF and Laughing Horse competitions.
Thursday 27th July Songbirds and Troubadours acoustic night
£2, much cheapness, to see a tranche of acoustic acts from soloists to full bands as selected by our host Brett. No chaff here and a very nice relaxing evening. Lovely.
Friday 28th July. House night
Last one from our promoter Ian. Bound to go off with a bang.
Saturday 29th July. During the day from about 3pm we will have the first public reading of a play called Love is Patient. No bands in the evening but we will have DJs from 8pm playing a mix of funk, soul, reggae, ska, pop, punk and indie and it is free entry until midnight and then discovating until 4am.
Sunday 30th July. Our resident blues, funk, soul, rock band Blues of Cain from 7ish. £3 entry.

That's all folks.
